Mariah is a Certified Health and Nutrition Coach and Plant-Based chef who’s been working in the industry for 20 years. She studied Holistic Nutrition at ISMET (Superior Institute of Traditional Medicine) in Barcelona and is currently enrolled in the Nutritional Therapy Course at IINH (Irish Institute of Nutrition and Health) where she completed her course in Health Coaching . Additionally, she has studied at the prestigious Matthew Kenney Culinary Institute, based around the world, focusing on gourmet raw cuisine.
Mariah's own personal health journey is what propelled her to become a health coach. After experiencing disappointment with the conventional medical system and ultimately feeling like she wasn't getting any answers, she, like many wellness coaches, took her health into her own hands. Once she adopted a wholefoods diet she noticed a dramatic increase in her energy levels, a decrease in the mental fog, and her aches and pains began to disappear.
Mariah believes that following a wholefoods diet is the key to leading a healthy life. She takes a holistic approach when it comes to her work in nutrition and believes that everyone can enjoy healthy and tasty food no matter what their dietary restrictions or level of cooking may be.
She works closely and candidly with her clients, drawing on first-hand experience, as well as extensive professional work, both as a Health and Nutrition Coach and Plant-Based Chef. Through diet, exercise, and stress management, she works with her clients to help them get to where they want to be.
Mariah is also passionate about creating nutrient dense, elegant, plant-based dishes that are sustainable to our health and the environment. Her affinity for nutrition combined with her innovative approach in the kitchen and genuine love for eating allows her to make meals everyone can enjoy.
Through her work in multiple restaurants, ranging from sushi bars to European bistro cafes, along with her extensive travels throughout Asia, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Europe, Mariah has gained inspiration to not only recreate the delicious dishes she’s sampled, but also produce her own original recipes that reflect her journeys.
Specializing in creating balanced and delicious vegetarian and vegan diets, she also has comprehensive experience in weight management, inflammatory bowel disease, digestive disorders, intolerances, allergies, and regulating blood sugar.
